 Image Writer was founded by Penny Cavanaugh, a 20 year veteran of the marketing and public relations field. With an educational background in business and merchandising management Ms. Cavanaugh has been employed in the private sector advertising industry as an advertising account executive, newspaper publisher, customer service and sales trainer, marketing plan consultant, visual display manager, and retail buyer.
Known for her aptitude in public speaking she has given presentations highlighting her expertise in marketing, business success, social issues and community resource development at Alfred State College, Houghton College, Olean Business Institute, many faith-based organizations as well as ACCORD Corporation’s Entrepreneurial Development division.
In the public sector Ms. Cavanaugh has contributed to the success of ACCORD Corporation's Youth Services Division, Friendship House Community Resource Center, Literacy Volunteers of Allegany County, Inc., and several partnering organizations of the Friendship House Community Resource Center. The application of her talents was instrumental in the success of the Friendship House Community Resource Center that was selected by the New York State Rural Health Association as the NYS Outstanding Rural Health Program of 2007. She initiated and facilitated the Adult Education and Employment Task Force as well as the Allegany County Transportation Task Force. The plan for the latter has been approved by the NYSDOT and included as part of the Allegany County Comprehensive Plan.
As a life-long resident of Allegany County, she has served on many advisory boards including Allegany Community Development Services, Inc., Community Action Angels, and the Rushford Lake Conservation Club. |
